Fondant or sugarpaste is made with icing sugar, glucose, glycerin etc... its very pliable and ideal for cakes that require details such as tiered cake, 3D, character etc) . Lots of details like mini edible figurines, flowers are made with fondant.
As Fondant is heavy, most designs require butter cakes to hold the weight of all the decorations.
These cakes last well outside and requires no refridgeration, just an airconditioned environment!
